These bowls, with their simple appearance and ancient history, reminded me of the ancient civilizations in the Himalayan highlands. They were not just metal instruments, but carriers of energies that came from the heart of history. When I first gently spun the special mallet around the edge of the bowl, a deep and resonant sound spread through the space. This sound, like a calm wave, encompassed my entire being and separated me from my daily worries.

In that moment, I understood how these bowls work. Their sound is a pure vibration that goes beyond the sense of hearing and is absorbed by our entire body. Every rotation of the mallet created a specific vibration that was also reflected in the water present in our bodies and caused inner peace. I remember my teacher telling me that to work with the bowl, you have to start with calmness and heartfelt intention. First, gently strike the side of the bowl with the mallet to create an initial sound, then slowly rotate it around the rim of the bowl so the sound spreads continuously. A little later, I became familiar with Tuning Forks. These tools were very attractive to me, because each one was designed for a specific frequency. This discovery was very amazing for me. I, who thought I had to use external tools for healing, realized that my voice is a pure frequency that directly connects with my nervous system. One day, while I was feeling a deep sense of worry, I subconsciously started humming and I noticed that my worry was slowly decreasing.

This experience led me to study the power of humming. I realized that humming activates the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the largest nerve in the parasympathetic nervous system, whose job is to calm the body and return it to a state of rest and digestion. In moments of stress, the sympathetic nervous system is activated and puts the body in a fight or flight state. But humming, like a key, activates the parasympathetic nervous system and brings the body to peace.
